NRT Seminar Series: Research Pitch & Communication with Dr. Brent Sebold

The NSF NRT Program at Arizona State University is pleased to host an upcoming professional development workshop featuring Dr. Brent Sebold, Director of Entrepreneurship + Innovation at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering.

Dr. Sebold works at the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship, and engineering education. In this interactive session, he will share practical strategies for translating complex research into clear and engaging narratives and for structuring a compelling research pitch.

This research pitch workshop will help graduate students communicate their research more clearly and confidently. In addition, participants will learn how to transform complex ideas into concise and engaging research narratives. During the session, Dr. Sebold will share practical strategies for structuring a strong research pitch. He will also discuss how researchers can present their work effectively to different audiences, including faculty, collaborators, and industry professionals.

The session will also include interactive elements in which students can practice communicating their research ideas and receive guidance on refining their messaging for professional and academic contexts.
